Why mushrooms?
Mushrooms are more than just a culinary delight; they are nutritional powerhouses. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, they offer a range of health benefits, from boosting the immune system to potentially playing a role in disease prevention. Their versatility in the kitchen is unmatched, offering a unique combination of flavors and textures that can enhance any dish. By farming mushrooms, we provide a source of nutritious, delicious, and organic food that supports the well-being of our community.

Organic, Sustainable Cultivation
At Longview Farm, we believe in growing mushrooms the natural way. Our farming methods are sustainable and environmentally friendly, using locally sourced logs and pure water from deep aquifers in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. We carefully monitor each and every mushroom we grow, ensuring they are healthy, fresh, and full of flavor. In addition to our Shiitake, Blue Oyster and Lion's Mane varieties, we are always experimenting with new types of mushrooms to bring our customers a unique and exciting culinary experience.

What mushrooms?
At our farm we have inoculated logs with Shiitake, Blue Oyster, and Lion's Mane mushrooms. Each variety should offer distinctive flavor, health benefits, and have been selected to offer bountiful harvest in our specific conditions. Look for the products from our harvest in our store soon!

Taking the Longview
At Longview Farm, we take pride in our commitment to sustainable mushroom cultivation. Our unique approach involves sourcing locally grown wood for our inoculated logs, and giving our cultured logs fresh, untreated water from a deep aquifer. We prioritize the longevity of our cultivation, which is why we consistently use sustainable practices to ensure a bright future for our farm and our community.
